  • Type material: not designated, unknown.
  • Type locality: “Caroline”, restricted to “vicinity of Charleston, South Carolina”, by Schmidt (1953: 225).
  • Placed on the Official List of Specific Names in Zoology by Opinion 1463 (1987: 265).
