Abrothallus tulasnei M.S. Cole & D. Hawksw., 2001

Life habit: Lichenicolous fungus (parasite on living lichens)

Etymology: In honor of Louis-René Tulasne (1815-1885) who first recognized the link between Abrothallus and its anamorph, later named Vouauxiomyces.

Holotypus: CANADA: Quebec: Charlevoix-Est Co., Centre Ecologique de Port-au-Saumon, Habenaria trail, 47°45'30"N, 69°57'00"W, on Xanthoparmelia somloënsis apothecia and thallus on shoreline rocks, 9 August 1997, Cole 7243 (MIN).

Typification Details: Holotype MIN, Cole 7243

Host-Substratum/Locality: On apothecia and thallus of Xanthoparmelia somloënsis growing on rock: Québec
