Abrotanella nivigena (F.Muell.) F.Muell. (1865)

  • According to APNI (2010), the correct authority is (F.Muell.) F.Muell. (1865; Pl. Victoria:pl. 40), but I have not been able to verify this.

  • Homotypic
  • Trineuron nivigenum F.Muell. (1855:105)
    • Etymology: from Latin nivis ("snow") and gena ("eye") (Swenson, 1995:172).
    • Type locality: "summits of the Munyang Mountains", New South Wales, Australia.
      • As given in Swenson (1998:172), who indicates a posterior (1946) note by Willis: "apparently on the higher part of Kosciusko Plateau".
    • Lectotype: Mueller s.n. (MEL; isolectotypes K, L, MEL)
      • Selected by Swenson (1998:172).
  • Heterotypic
  • Abrotanella papuana S.Moore (in Ridley, 1916:86)
