      • Typus: M. Parsons 1 (14 March 1988; Holotypus: LAE 69994).
      • Type locality: Papua New Guinea. Northern [now Oro] Province: Ahora Village, north of Popondetta town, supporting trees forming secondary forest up to 10 m tall, c. 100 m.
