Vilayanoor V. Ramamurthy

Vilayanoor Venkataraman Ramamurthy, Indian coleopterist specialising in weevils at the National Pusa Collection at the Division of Entomology, Indian Agricultural Research Institute, New Delhi. He has published more than 100 research articles, of which there are monographs on the short snout weevils like Myllocerus, Tanymecus, Lepropus, and Dereodus. He has 40 new species of weevils to his credit.
