If you have useful images to contribute to Wikispecies, please upload them at Wikimedia Commons. This is also true for video or audio files containing bird songs, whale vocalization, etc.

- creating pages without content (like all those Meta pages) is a no-no. It artificially adds to the number of pages tally. I should really delete them. Please don't do it. Stho002 00:52, 10 March 2010 (UTC)

- You don't seem to understand what are doing! There is NO INFORMATION on those Meta pages, AT LEAST you need to add the author/date of the species. You can get that information for Meta here: http://research.amnh.org/iz/spiders/catalog/TETRAGNATHIDAE.html

- Don't worry about it. That's just how Stho002 is. ;) We all got to start somewhere and you seem like you're willing to learn. That's all we ask. Usually, when you create a new page you should add whatever reference you're using along with other info such as synonyms, type species, interwikis, vernacular names, and maybe an image, but as a minimum you should at least include the author/date. Otherwise, if there's no info, there's not much point to the page, right? I know some existing pages don't even have this, but we would like to keep those to a minimum. That page is with regards to a taxon authority (scientist who differentiate one species with another, plus giving names to newly discovered species). They don't need to follow "standard taxon formatting" as they are biographies. OhanaUnitedTalk page 04:02, 13 March 2010 (UTC)

Deleting pages[edit]
Hi :) Some time ago I have received an advice from OhanaUnited: "Try avoid tagging ... not using standard formatting if it can be fixed in few minutes. Scientists start to love the wiki because they can observe how information transforms by public-at-large, but become furious if their time spent was deleted in the end." I'm sure, he was right.
