You might find a less confrontational approach to be more effective. Having an inflexible and overly pedantic attitude to perceived "rules" does not make for a good Wikispecies editor. The issues you raise are trivial, so my strong advice is simply to move on and continue to make substantive edits... Stho002 (talk) 21:21, 30 September 2010 (UTC)

Basionym

please do not use this term, it is botanical. Instead, pls use 'original combination', thanks --Stho002 (talk) 06:24, 2 October 2010 (UTC)

Neorhynchus

de Marval (1904) put the species into the already existing genus Neorhynchus, but there is no such genus as Neorhynchus de Marval, 1904. Even Shipley (1896) mentions the genus Neorhynchus --Stho002 (talk) 07:23, 2 October 2010 (UTC)

the mistake is made here:

but there is nothing to suggest that de Marval (1904) was proposing a new replacement name - he was just using Neorhynchus Hamann, 1892 [=Neoechinorhynchus] --Stho002 (talk) 07:44, 2 October 2010 (UTC)
