Tarsiger cyanurus

[edit]

You say in text that you ad pictures of male and female, but the text by the pictures is male and male.

Hi, Peter, Can you tell me which picture as I am not finding Tarsiger syanurus? If it's Tarsiger chrysaeus, then it's shown properly? Jmgarg1 15:30, 6 December 2008 (UTC)Reply

Sorry, Corrected Tarsiger cyanurus as desired.Jmgarg1 15:39, 6 December 2008 (UTC)Reply

Thanks, you do a great work to add pictures.

Images

[edit]

Hi, thanks for adding images to various articles. It's the custom of Wikispecies to include only 1 image per page (with exception of sexual dimorphism, in that case we'll still try find an image that shows both genders unless there's no image like this available then we'll use 2 images). Even if the species have distinct differences between subspecies, such as Motacilla alba, we will still use only 1 image. And we usually add the adult's picture, unless it's not available, then we'll use the child's picture. OhanaUnitedTalk page 13:42, 10 December 2008 (UTC)Reply

Thanks. I shall keep this in mind.Jmgarg1 13:47, 10 December 2008 (UTC)Reply

  • Thanks for adding pictures but only add a single image per page and add 250px for landscape pictures and 220px for images that are taller than wide (portrait). Lycaon 14:53, 11 December 2008 (UTC)Reply

Thanks, Lycaon. Jmgarg1 14:55, 11 December 2008 (UTC)Reply

on Commons

[edit]

Hi. Have you heard of COM:VI and COM:VIC? You should nominate some of your interesting images. Cheers. Lycaon 16:31, 11 December 2008 (UTC)Reply

Thanks, Lycaon. I don't have much time to think over such matters.203.153.33.94 02:32, 12 December 2008 (UTC)Reply

There is presently a [discussion on the use of daggers to denote extinct taxa. This will affect a large portion of the pages in wikispecies as the project grows so if possible please read the contributions so far and comment. Thanks --Kevmin 06:53, 11 January 2009 (UTC)Reply
