Hi,

you can't just go blanking pages like that without good justification (cited references). The name Capra hircus must still be in the system somewhere (perhaps as a synonym), so there is no need to delete the page, it just needs to be redirected to the new name. So, what is the current status of the name Capra hircus?

I deleted the page capra hircus because there is already a page on goats called Capra aegagrus hircus. I am sure that Capra hircus is a synonym for Capra aegagrus hircus. I think Capra hircus could be a redirect like felis domesticus instead of its own page. Plus taxonomy of the ancestor has priority over the domesticated animal. Sources below

OK, but don't delete Capra hircus page - redirect it to Capra aegagrus hircus, and copy across any still relevant information from the Capra hircus page. Stho002 06:29, 2 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]
I don't know how to redirect. — The preceding unsigned comment was added by 60.242.105.47 (talk) 23:00, 3 April 2009
Why did you put
Redirected from Felis domesticus on the Capra hircus page?

no i did not put felis domesticus as a redirect from capra hircus but someone else did for felis catus. — The preceding unsigned comment was added by 60.242.105.47 (talk) 08:19, 8 April 2009
The page history clearly shows your edits. There is proof that you (or someone using your computer) made that edit. I will give you one chance, but I will be monitoring your edits, and I can block you indefinitely at any stage. Thanks, Stho002 08:26, 8 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]
