Intro[edit]

Hey, I'm Darker Harvest, and I like to listen to music, write, and play tenor sax. If you've seen my Wikipedia or Wikiquote pages, you know that I've tried to write a book series (which I guess is coming along fine, so far), and I came up with a great TV show idea that I work on when I'm bored. Everything is morbid, everything is mopey, but nothing is boring. Hardly any of my characters are human, which is always fun, and the very few humans are regarded as stupid or frauds. Here are some of the species/beings I use in my books and TV show.

Series X[edit]

I created what I'm calling Series X, a book series about zombies, vampires, werewolves, superhumans, and tons of other things. Here are some examples of creatures I write about:

Zombies: Humans regard zombies like my characters Tut, Xerxes, Xenophon, and Crossbones/Rexall as freaks that go around ripping the brains right out of the heads of innocent humans. In my first book, Lifeline, a girl named Rexall gets shot in the chest and learns that this is not true after becoming one. Zombies (in my books) have pale, almost fragile-looking skin, covered with red and black scars. When they get cut open, they excrete something called zombie oil, which is a black, mud-like substance that functions as their blood. My zombies function solely off of brainpower, so they don't depend on internal organs. Their hearts are not beating, and, if they ever regain a heartbeat (and still have all internal organs), they can be human again. The zombies seem cool with the humans existing along with them, as long as they keep their distance. They cannot feel pain, but seem to have functioning digestive systems. Typically, zombies like Xerxes eat brains, but they make Tut, Crossbones (Rexall's zombie name), and Xenophon sick.

Vampires: Although briefly mentioned in Lifeline, Bloodshot (book two) marks the debut of Dracula and Dracul, the vampire cousins. They are both from Romania and can't eat garlic, but they can be out in the sun and almost blend in with the humans entirely. Dracula's parents and Dracul's parents all died when they were kids (a few hundred years ago), so both of them are scarred for life. When a vampire dies of a lack of internal organs (the only way to kill them), everyone close to them gets affected by what Dracul refers to as "an unstoppable wave of internal destruction that would affect us all". As a result of their parents dying, Dracul is a nag (similar to Wanda from Fairly Odd Parents), and Dracula is annoying (similar to Cosmo from the same cartoon). Dracul appears to be the smarter of the two, and often ends up slapping Dracula for his stupidity, although Dracula is the one that made Crossbones into a vampire. Deep down, they both love each other, but they dislike showing it. Vampires in general are known to have control over the undying urge to suck blood residing in their stomachs, but Crossbones is somewhat insane. Insanity disables the vampire's ability to resist this urge, so her problem is that she often gives in. This results in mass murders, slaughtering of werewolves and humans, and potential exposure of her and the rest of the gang. The vampires have the classic long white fangs, but all three of them (Crossbones, Dracula, and Dracul) look like teens. Dracula is a punk rocker that has a thing for skulls, and Dracul and Crossbones are both Goths. Crossbones is the only black-haired vampire of the three; Dracul and Dracula are both blonde, but they dyed the tips of their hair black. All vampires are thought to be immortal because they can live for thousands of years, like Dracula and Dracul, but losing organ tissue kills them slowly.

Werewolves: Werewolves are, quite simply, humanoid beings that become wolves or wolf-humanoid-style hybrids. (Once scratched or bitten by a werewolf, the human is not a human any longer.) Werewolves are not easy to control at first (especially through mind-control), but the evil pharaoh zombies (first seen in Lifeline) got the handle of it after failing with WW T ONE - NAME: NATHANIAL. Nathanial's mind-control seal is broken and he soon joins the gang (but not permanently), but he's the weakest example of mind-control available. Nate (as they call him in the gang) is trapped in half wolf/half human form. Not much is known about him, and he seems to suffer from mild amnesia. He knows everything about the whereabouts of the rest of the enslaved werewolves, of which the leader is Wolfsbane. Wolfsbane and Nate are not at all alike, and Nate, unlike Tut, does not feel guilty for leaving the evil association he abandoned for the gang. (Tut was the youngest member of the PJPS - Pulsing Jewel Protection Society - and often feels guilty for leaving.) Nate is very scared of being discovered by Wolfsbane, seeing as all the werewolves wield guns, explosives, teeth, and claws. He is often seen driving the sea serpent (similar to the Mystery Machine seen in Scooby Doo), seeing as Crossbones, the original driver, is too insane to do it. Nate and the other werewolves will have larger roles in book three (Phase), but that is the last time I'm currently planning to feature Nate in the book series.

Superhumans: Zhen is the only example of a superhuman being from book one (Lifeline) to book eight (Emo). She seems to have an unlimited amount of powers, but she favours teleportation, mind-reading, morphing and melting, and zapping people so they do what she wants. Little is known about her because a running gag in Series X is that she is typically interrupted by someone (or everyone) because she tends to run on and on forever. It is believed that Crossbones is a superhuman, as well, but, seeing as neither of her parents are, that could be later cleared up as a misdiagnosis.
