Template:Taxa by author

List of taxon names authored by [[{{{1}}}]].

Purpose

For use on "Taxa by author" category pages.

Usage

This template has two parameters; the first is required, the second optional (but recommended):

1. Name to display
2. Sort name, as used in {{DEFAULTSORT:}} on the corresponding author page

Note that the template automatically adds the page to Category:Taxa by author, so please do not add that category manually.

Examples

Without DEFAULTSORT:

On for example Category:Adrian M. Paterson taxa one might add:

{{Taxa by author|Adrian M. Paterson}}

which will be rendered as:

List of taxon names authored by Adrian M. Paterson.

With DEFAULTSORT:

On for example Category:James David Ackerman taxa one might add:

{{Taxa by author|James David Ackerman|Ackerman, James David}}

which will be rendered as:

List of taxon names authored by James David Ackerman.

NOTE: The last example automatically adds DEFAULTSORT data and is therefore highly recommended!
