Usage[edit]
A template for links to items in the Paleobiology database.
Parameters[edit]
- Use as
{{PaleoDB|1|Taxon name}}
- Note that for parameter
1the template uses a partial url address which followshttp://fossilworks.org/?a=taxonInfo&taxon_no=
- For genera and species names add Wikimedia standard code for italics (i.e.
''like this''which will look like this).
Example[edit]
Look for id. For example in the PaleoDB/FossilWorks URL http://fossilworks.org/?a=taxonInfo&taxon_no=175191, copy the last part "175191" and paste it to the template, together with the taxon name: {{PaleoDB|175191|''Meyerasaurus''}}. That code will be rendered like this:
- Meyerasaurus – Taxon details on Paleobiology Database.
