Struthioniformes - Rheiformes[edit]

I've read in a book that Struthioniformes is the ordo that contains Struthio camelus (ostrich) of the family Strurhionidae and Rheiformes is the order that contains Rhea americana (rhea) of the family Rheidae --Jocateme 22:07, 18 November 2005 (UTC)[reply]

There are many instances where you will find conflicting information. In many cases, these things change over time. In terms of the distinction you are asking about, both ITIS [1] and the Handbook of Birds of the World [2] lists the ordo as it currently stands. This is part of what makes this project so fun and challenging! Open2universe 22:30, 18 November 2005 (UTC)[reply]
