"Isolated from Hypersaline lakes (Great Salt Lake, USA). Single polar flagellum. Reddish-brown colonies. Halotolerant: growth occurs between 0.02 and 3.3 M NaCl/ Poly-B-hydroxybutyrate not accumulated. Temperature range 4-37 C. Oxidase positive, Arginine dihydroloase negative. Gelatin hydrolyzed. Glucose and various other sugares are utilized. "
