  • NOTES: (i) it is hard to know why Macfarlane et al. (2010: 431) list Pselactus ferrugineus Broun, 1909 as a valid species, endemic to New Zealand, despite the formal synonymy with P. spadix
    by Kuschel (1972: 277, 'New synonymy'); (ii) the genus was indicated to be both adventive and 'D = doubtfully established in New Zealand' by Leschen et al. (2003: 25), so in the absence of any evidence to indicate that this doubt can now be safely removed, I maintain the question mark for both genus and species, for the taxon does not appear to have been collected again in New Zealand since the time of Broun, and therefore may have been a temporary establishment only?
