Talk:Pinus sylvestris var. elicinii

@Fagus: Is there any good reason for accepting this? How does it differ from P. sylvestris var. hamata, the widespread regional P. sylvestris taxon in the region? Is it any different from the hundreds of other insignificant local variants of P. sylvestris published at varietal rank over the last 250 years. Until further evidence is available, I'd suggest treating it as a synonym of var. hamata. - MPF (talk) 10:53, 10 March 2021 (UTC)
