Parapylocheles

Parapylocheles is a genus of the Pylochelidae family (not Parapylochelidae).

Parapylochelidae is not the same that Pylochelidae.

That UMMZ page was published before the 2012 article on Mesoparapylocheles, and so the 2012 paper makes the UMMZ page obsolete. According to the International Code of Zoological Nomenclature, the authors of the 2012 article had to place Parapylocheles in the family Parapylochelidae (as the type genus) in order to be able to name the family Parapylochelidae, otherwise the family name is invalid. If the family had only Mesoparapylocheles in it, according to the Code, it MUST then be called Mesoparapylochelidae and not Parapylochelidae. Koumz (talk) 21:31, 3 March 2012 (UTC)
