Misplaced synonym

  • Type: Greece, Crete, Viano: Christos, 7.4.1900, Leonis 121 (WU 0078443).

is most likely misplaced in Orchis brancifortii, an endemic of Italy. Most probably and obviously it should be moved to Orchis × sezikiana (= O. anatolica × quadripunctata), which forms large and variable hybrid swarms in Dikti mountains where the type locality is situated. As this taxon has been placed into Anacamptis boryi, Orchis provincialis × quadripunctata and Orchis pauciflora × quadripunctata, and as I can't find any source supporting this view, I have to leave it as it is for the moment. --RLJ (talk) 12:33, 7 November 2017 (UTC)
