Catalog of Fishes (12 Jan 2012 version) recognizes Nemacheilidae as a family distinct from Balitoridae. Nemacheilidae is also recognized at family level by contemporary European authorities such as Freyhof et al. 2011 (see below). -MKOliver (talk) 02:54, 7 February 2012 (UTC)
