Talk:Messor barbarus

This species makes it's nest in sand, loam and pebbles. Most of the time it is thought that big ant's were the soldiers, most of the time that is the case, but the Messor Barbarus has no soldiers, the big ant's are major with large heads. They eat and collect seed's for living, but insects and honeywater as well. Remarkable is that the Messor Babarus can tell the different s between two or more seed's, If you could look inside their nest you would see that every seed has it's one chamber.
