  • very rare

Published specimen records (2)[edit]

  • Holotype female
  • 1 male, Fly Harbour, Adams Island, Auckland Islands; PM Johns, 20 Jan. 1984; taken under a stone within a seepage on steep, north-facing hillside about 200 m from head of harbour. Vegetation basically Metrosideros, Dracophyllum, Neopanax forest with many short ferns and a group of the tree fern Cyathea smithii (CMNZ?) [published by Johns (2010: 45, incorrectly listed with a female symbol)]

Notes[edit]

  • without offering any indication of how few specimens were known, Larochelle & Larivière (2001: 42) nevertheless gave an account of the 'ecology' and 'biology' of this species!
