'holotype' sensu Steyermark (1967)[edit]
It seems that Steyermark (1967) regarded the specimen in K (K000424506) as holotype since the Spruce's label 'Janarate-cachoeira-caatingas. Oct/52. Tree 30 ft. Cor.: tube red; limb red & yellow', mentioned by Stetermark, is found only in that specimen and it is also the only specimen with a trace of activity performed by New York Botanical Garden ('NEW YORK BOTANICAL GARDEN Neg. No: N.S. 3360 [1953]'). At least sheets in G-DC (G00418084, holotype sensu Delprete), BR [BR0000005317554] and P [P00836755] have no such slips. --Eryk Kij (talk) 04:43, 23 November 2022 (UTC)
