Curcumorpha longiflora was legitimately described by Rao & Verma (1971) with latin diagnosis. It is the only species decribed for this genus so far. The chromosome number is found to be 2n = 25 (Rao & Verma, 1972), but according to latest findings the somatic chromosome numbers in Curcumorpha longiflora are different (Eksomtramage et al., 1996).
