Notes[edit]

Curcuma chuanhuangjiang was first described by Z.Y. Zhu (1990) without latin diagnosis, together with Curcuma chuanezhu. Since this description was published in a restricted chinese publication, its chinese diagnosis was also given in Flora Sichuanica (1992). This speciem is synonym to other species, it is not accepted as a distinct Curcuma. sp. On the basis of molecular genetics Curcuma chuanhuangjiang has identical sequences in trnK gene as compared with Curcuma chuanyujin and Curcuma aromatica, thus these species should be combined under one speciem (Cao & Komatsu, 2004).
