- oddly, and without comment, Maddison in Macfarlane et al. (2010: 425) list Diarthrocera formicaephila as a valid genus and species, even though the genus was synonymised by Watt (1969: 62, 'It is extraordinary that this "genus" should have been allowed to remain in existence for 75 years, and it is a considerable pleasure to sink it in synonymy, where henceforth it will lapse into the obscurity it deserves'), and they also do not mention any of the closely allied new species described by Reike (2010), even though the Reike article was published in the same journal issue as the article describing Otagonia nunni, which is listed by Macfarlane et al. (2010: 419)
