Abundance

• common in the South Island. There are only two published specimen records from elsewhere, one from Great Island, Three Kings Islands (female, subspecies indet.), and the other (holotype male of Clambus bulla marmoratus) from Three Kings Domain, Auckland City (Endrödy-Younga, 1990: 133)! The map point on or abouts Great Barrier Island (Endrödy-Younga, 1990: 132, fig. 10) is in error for the Three Kings Islands record.
