Despite Chen et al (2006) publishing an article whose title sugests this genus is in the subfamily Schoenobiinae. This placement is still in doubt and it may be an error. Most workers treat the genus as part of the Spilomelini tribe of the Crambidae, Pyraustinae. It is definitely not a member of the family Pyralidae (sensu stricto) Ref.
