Cathariinae Subfamily of the Lepidoptera Crambidae The given classification is uncertain and some entomologists support the Cathariinae subordinated into the Subfamily of the Lepidoptera Crambidae Odontiinae. All characters supporting the Cathariinae are reductions. Chaetosemata, male gnathos and female tympanal organ are reduced.
