Error with B. nigricans?
nigricans seems to be a subspecies of Branta bernicla. It is listed as a subspecies when B. nigricans is clicked. It looks like the issue of whether B. nigricans is a separate species is an unresolved issue but I am not sure that it is right for Wikispecies to just treat it both ways. My guess is that treating it as a separate species here was probably not intended. Wikipedia article suggests that there is more consensus against it than for it and the JTIS source didn't support it. --Davefoc 07:33, 2 February 2009 (UTC)
