Misplaced genera[edit]

Several genera in Anatinae also show up in other Anatidae subfamilies:
...
I believe they are probably improperly placed in Anatinae. Davefoc 04:56, 1 February 2009 (UTC)Reply

Asarcornis shows up as a separate genus under Anatinae without any species.
The genus Nomonyx is listed here under Anatinae and also under Oxyurinae. I think it should be under Oxyurinae. RobHickling (talk) 23:08, 20 May 2014 (UTC)Reply

Synonym[edit]

Apparently Cairina scutulata is sometimes listed as Asarcornis sculata. Right now in wikispecies there is a listing for Cairina scutulata. Davefoc 02:38, 14 February 2009 (UTC)Reply

Now listed in genus Asarcornis. A Synonym Cairina scutulata has been included in the page for Asarcornis scutulata. P.S. I presume your reference to sculata (sic) is a typo for scutulata. RobHickling (talk) 23:20, 20 May 2014 (UTC)Reply
