Hello. My name is Vyshak. I am from India, Karnataka, Mysore. About a year before 2015, in my home frontyard I had a mango tree As I lifted the fallen branch from ground, I found an insect crawling on my hand. I took a pic of it and searched on internet, then I find that insect as false scorpion, I got so excited to see it and left it on the same place where I found it. Why I'm telling this is because, I got a question that does that species exist in south India, in Wikispecies I found it exist in Regensburg, Bayern, Germany; and in Frauenholz, Bayern, Germany. There are about 550 different species in the family Neobisiidae, not only Neobisium sylvaticum. Some of them are found in India. You will probably not find this species (Neobisium sylvaticum) in India, but many of the other species look rather similar and may be very difficult to tell apart for a layman.
