  • Holotype: MCP 19687.
  • Paratypes: MCN 11846 (4); MCP 18739 (24), 18740 (8), 19911 (3), 26900 (5), 31717 (8).

Type locality: Condor, rio Alegre estrada Condor/Colônia Cash, 28°11'S, 53°27'W, Rio Grande do Sul, Brazil.

Etymology: with a large head, referring to its large traingular head (when seen from above). (From The ETYFish Project)
