Holotype: AMNH 16481, adult ♀, skin and skull.
Type locality: “Inca Mines[= Santo Domingo Mine], Peru (alt. 6ooo feet)”, about 200 miles northeast of Juliaca, on the east side of the Andes, on the Inambary River [Río Inambari], Department of Puno, Peru.
