  • Typus: "Habitat in Marilandia." Lectotype (designated by James, Brittonia 8: 224 (1956)): "Lysimachia non papposa Terrae Marianae, leptoneurophyllos, flore tetrapetalo rubello, folio & caule hirsutie ferruginea hispidis" in Plukenet, Amalth. Bot., t. 428, f. 1 (1705).
