Substrate and ecology (Sonoran region:) On bark, wood, and rarely on acidic rocks from sea level to high montane areas

World distribution: Pantropical with scattered collections from the subtropics and warm temperate regions, insular Laurimacaronesia and Europe (Italy); Sonoran region
