- Holotype: FMNH 178285 (formerly RCT 1414), ♀, colected by Richard C. Taylor on 1 August 1947.
- Type locality: “Isla Bonita (American Cinchona Plantation), elev. 5500 ft., Volcán Poas, Caribbean drainage”, Costa Rica.
