@Caftaric: "The hybrid symbol, ×, should also not be italicized" - where does this come from? Is it mandated as essential by ICN, or optional guidance?* In normal practice, it is italicised, as to 'unitalicise' it in an italic name is such a faff. In reality, it makes no difference as italic "×" and non-italic "×" hardly differ in printed format. If it is optional guidance, I'd suggest we don't bother to specify.
(* in the way putting the × next to the name unspaced used to be mandated, but was subsequently made optional, as it was observed in the breach far more than the compliance)
