Mimagoniates microlepis (Steindachner, 1877)

  • Lectotype: NMW 56534.
    • Lectotype apparently selected by Menezes & Weitzman, 2009.
  • Paralectotypes: NMW 56534:1 (1).

Type locality: Brooks near Rio de Janeiro, Rio dos Macacos, probably at Macacu, ca. 22°26'S, 42°49'W, Brazil.

Etymology: micro- (= small), and lepis (= scale), presumably referring to small scales, 44 along lateral line and 13-14 rows along the sides. (From The ETYFish project)
