• Holotype: BMNH 1897.12.10.7, ♂, collected by Dr. L. Loria.
• Type locality: “Port Moresby area, Central District, Papua New Guinea”.

Synonyms

• Lepidodactylus browni Pernetta & Black, 1983: 121 [synonymised by Kraus, Vahtera & Weijola (2022)]
  • Holotype: UPNG 6355, adult ♂, collected by J.C. Pernetta and D. Black on 9 May 1981.
  • Type locality: “Bogoro Inlet, Bootless Bay, Central Province, Papua New Guinea”.
