- Lectotype (designated by Woelkering et al. 2019: 1): Gmelin (1768: pl. XXIII) in the absence of specimens.
- Epitype (designated by Woelkering et al. 2019: 1): PC0474619 (Trieste, Italy) (Woelkering et al.2019: fig. 2).
