Hypopachus barberi Schmidt, 1939: 1

• Holotype: FMNH 1812, adult ♀, collected by C.M. Barber in 1906.
• Type locality: “Tecpán, Sololá, Guatemala”.

Synonyms

• Hypopachus simus Stuart, 1941: 125 [synonymised by Nelson (1973: 15)]
  • Holotype: UMMZ 89095, adult ♂, collected by L.C. Stuart on 11 July 1940.
  • Type locality: “A pond on the estern edge of Nebaj, El Quiché, Guatemala. Altitude, about 1990 meters”.

• Hypopachus aquae Stuart, 1952: 7 [synonymised by Nelson (1973: 15)]
  • Holotype: UMMZ 102282, adult ♂, collected by L.C. Stuart on 21 July 1949.
  • Type locality: “the coffee groves of Finca San Rafael on the outskirts of Dueñas, Department of Sacatepequez, Guatemala. Elevation, about 1475 meters”.

• Hypopachus pygmaeus Lynch in Smith, Langebartel & Williams, 1964: : 29 [Nomen nudum, synonymised by Nelson (1973: 15)]
