Name

Holotype: ZMB 1153, juvenile indet., probably collected by F. Deppe between September–December 1825.

Type locality: not given; indicate as “Mexico” by Wiegmann (1934), restricted to “Oaxaca” by Bocourt (1878), and to “Tlapancingo, Oaxaca” by Smith & Taylor (1950), in error fide Streseman (1954), and to “probably was collected instead in the vicinity of Oaxaca City or between there and Vista Hermosa” by Smith (pers. comm.)
