Type locality: “ostindiske [=East Indies], restricted to “Assam”, India, by Boulenger (1891: 279).

Syntypes: Karachi Museum. [presumed lost]
Type locality: “Sind (Tatta (ponds) and Joongshai)”, Pakistan.
