Formerly Professor of Trinity College, Dublin, Ireland. Formerly Dean of Science at Saint Mary's University in Halifax, Nova Scotia, Canada. Teaches "Lichens and Lichen Ecology" at the Eagle Hill summer seminars on the Maine Coast.
