Cynops ensicauda (Hallowell, 1861)

Type locality: "Paddyfields at the Amakarima Isle" and "Ralousima... the northern half of Ousima proper" (= Amami, Ryukyu Is., Japan).

Syntypes: USNM 7410 (3 specimens).
