Name[edit]

Crocodylus johnsoni Krefft, 1873

Type locality: "Cashmere, upper Herbert River, Qld" (= Queensland), Australia

Holotype: 4627

Etymology: johnsoni: named in appreciation after British explorer and botanist Harry Hamilton Johnston, who first reported this species.
