- Typus: K. Gjellerup 239 (in flower, 29 June 1910; Holotypus: BO-1887340(GBIF); cf. L.2900070(GBIF) [ex BO; without clear type indication]).
- Type locality: [Indonesia.] Nord-Neu-Guinea [= Northern New Guinea, Jayapura District]: Salzquelle am Beguwri, [02˚ 58' 23" S, 140˚ 57' 18" E], ± 170 m ü. d. M., auf einem kieselreichen, rötlichen Humusboden [= brine spring on the Beguwri River, ± 170 m above sea level, on a gravelly, reddish humus soil].
