Apterichtus kendalli (Gilbert, 1891)

  • Holotype (unique): USNM 44304.

Type locality: Off Florida, Gulf of Mexico, U.S.A., 25°34'N, 82°50'W, Grampus station 5080, depth 25 fathoms.

Etymology: in honor of William C. Kendall (1861-1939), naturalist aboard U. S. Fish Commission schooner Grampus, which collected type, (from The ETYFish Project).
