Garra quadratirostris Nebeshwar & Vishwanath, 2013

  • Holotype: MUMF 4306.
  • Paratypes: MUMF 4307/5 (9); RGUMF 0200 (5), 0201/5 (5).

Type locality: India, Sikkim, Tista River at Rangpo (Ganga basin), 27°10'43"N, 88°32'10"E [1].

Etymology: The specific epithet is derived from the Latin quadrum (= square shape), and rostrum, rostris (= beak or bill), referring to the squarish shaped proboscis.
