Welcome to Wikispecies, Alessandro70~specieswiki!

We like having new people contributing to Wikispecies. Here are a few things that may be interesting:

  • If you haven't done so, we strongly recommend you to create an account. Creating account is quick and free, plus it provides you more features such as preferences and the ability to keep a watchlist to track changes made to articles that interest you.
  • Have a look at Done and to do.
  • Help:Contents provides a good introduction to editing Wikispecies.
  • Templates are there to help you following syntax and formatting rules.

Please ask further questions in the Village Pump.

If you have useful images to contribute to Wikispecies, please upload them at the Wikimedia Commons.

We hope you'll enjoy the time you spend on Wikispecies!

You can sign your messages with ~~~~.

Please note the various changes I've made to the articles you've recently editted. Good job with the pics, though! - UtherSRG 21:18, 1 August 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for working on hummingbirds[edit]

With over 300 species it will certainly take a while. I like all the photos. I am relatively new to wikispecies and wikipedia and I believe that photos need some more documentation. See en:Wikipedia:Untagged_images. Also, just so you know, there seems to be some differences of opinion as to what should be on the taxon page. See Wikispecies:Village_Pump. And one more small thing. To link to articles in Spanish, the prefix is es: (for español) not sp: Thanks again Open2universe 01:37, 30 August 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Images[edit]

Hi,

Thanks for all your beautiful images, first :-), but would you consider uploading them on the Wikimedia Commons? If you do that, the image can be used on all wiki projects, not only Wikispecies. Thanks, Ucucha (talk) 14:06, 16 September 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Proper use of taxa[edit]

Please use singular or plural forms of the taxon where appropriate. E.g. when there is only one genus mentioned (as on the species level), use Genus and not Genera. Thanks. Lycaon 15:16, 15 December 2005 (UTC)[reply]
